Cookies and Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-02

This document combines our Cookie Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. The Cookie Policy explains the small data files we use on coretools.app. The Acceptable Use Policy describes what you may and may not do when using CoreTools or our website.

Cookie Policy - What Cookies We Use

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, all of them first-party and strictly necessary for the site to work. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.

Essential cookies: an authentication session cookie, set once you sign in, which keeps you signed in across pages; a cart state cookie, which remembers the items you have added to your basket; a Stripe checkout cookie, set when you are redirected to the Stripe payment page to allow the checkout to complete securely; and cf_clearance, set by Cloudflare, which records that your browser has passed bot protection challenges.

Our analytics is cookieless. We measure usage from server-side request data (page URL, referrer, user-agent, approximate time on page) and do not set or read any analytics cookie or browser-storage identifier on your device.

Cookie Policy - No Cross-Site Tracking

We do not track you across other websites. We do not sell or share cookie data with advertising networks. Our analytics exist solely to help us understand how coretools.app is used so we can improve it.

Cookie Policy - Managing Cookies

You can clear or reject cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view the cookies stored, delete them individually or in bulk, and block cookies from specific sites. Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary for sign-in, checkout, or bot protection, rejecting them may prevent parts of coretools.app from functioning correctly.

Acceptable Use Policy - General Principles

You must use CoreTools and coretools.app lawfully, respectfully, and in a way that does not harm other users, our infrastructure, or third parties. This Acceptable Use Policy applies to anyone who accesses the website or uses the software, whether or not they have an account.

Acceptable Use Policy - Prohibited Activities

You must not use CoreTools or coretools.app to: distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, or any other harmful code; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, user accounts, or any connected service; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure without prior written permission; scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site at abusive rates or in a manner that degrades the service for others; share, publish, resell, or otherwise transfer licences to third parties; resell access to the software or to your CoreTools account; circumvent or attempt to circumvent licence validation or device-slot enforcement; or use the software or site for any purpose that is unlawful under the laws that apply to you, including the laws of England and Wales.

Acceptable Use Policy - Enforcement

Cloudflare, our edge provider, may automatically block, challenge, or rate-limit traffic that appears abusive, including distributed denial-of-service attempts, credential stuffing, and aggressive scraping. We may additionally suspend accounts, revoke licence keys, refuse future orders, and, where warranted, report activity to law enforcement. Where a breach of this policy also breaches our Terms of Service, the remedies available under those Terms apply in addition.
